Just for a Job-1

 It was my second work anniversary when it all started. My name is Apurva I am 23 yrs old, I am a computer engineer working for last 2 years for an software developer company in Pune. I have only my mother in my family who stays in my home town as I was not able to make much and just take care of myself and send some money at home, so I leave alone in a 2bhk apartment which is on the first floor of 2 floors building where on the ground floor my landlady stays. Few months back I had one roommate but he left as he got opportunity to work in US. My landlady was very good and charged me only after my friend left. She is 35 years old working in an HR firm divorced few years back. I used to call her didi. 

Everything was going well I just got a promotion and a good hike 1 months back. Now I thought I would be able to call my mom here to live with me but suddenly my company got acquired and 90% of us were asked to leave. I thought no worries I will soon find another job. I kept searching and took help from didi as well but my resume was not even getting shortlisted. It was almost 2 months now and I was getting worried. I went to didi and asked her why is my profile not getting shortlisted. She said currently in the job market hiring is only happening for diversity candidates. I asked diversity candidates? What does that mean? She said companies to show that they treat everyone equally are only hiring women and LQBT candidates. I got furious. So didi to get a job now do I become a women. I asked her what should I do I can only serve 3 months with the money I have please give me some advice. She told me i have an  idea but it is going to be very difficult. I said I will do anything. She said you can't be a women but you can act as if you want to be one. I asked means. She said you have act as you are a transgender. I said didi but how can I. She said look if you want a job in the current situation this is the only option. In few months if you find another job then take a change. I said even if I agree I will I look like a transgender. Didi said see your self you are slim with bubble fat ass, your face and skin is very fair just need a clean shave and waxing and on to of the your hair is long. Yes I have long hair till my mid back when I was working i used to keep it little below my shoulder but as I did now cut it for last few months it has grown fast due to and oil sent by mom. Then didi said think about it till tomorrow I have an opening where I can fit you but need to fill it fast so tell me by tomorrow morning. I thought all night about it and finally in the morning I said yes to didi.

Didi immediately send my resume to the hiring manager. Next day didi told me that I am shortlisted and interview is tomorrow. She told me we need to prepare. She call her beautician friend Payal he at my home in the evening with some packets. Payal first did my haircut in a girly style the did my eyebrows then didi full body waxing and asked me to go clean shave and take hot bath. When I came back didi asked me wear the clothes on the bed and went in the hall. In the bed there was one ladies panty, A size bra, a ladies top and a ladies jeans I wore them all and then called them. Then payal asked me to sit on the chair and took out few machines and start doing something on my face. In few minutes the trace of beard which was visible after shave vanished she said I have lasered your face hair how beard will not appear just that you have to get this done every week for few months. Then she started doing my facial, pedicure and medicure. After she was done she did some makeup and when i saw my face in the mirror i was shocked.
